Egypt 2025: Inner and outer tEmples

You will be driven from Cairo airport to the palatial Mena House Hotel/Garden View Room/where you will be welcomed with a drink and stunning viewss of the Great Pyramids.  The remainder of your day is for relaxing and re-energizing.

Visit the Sphinx enclosure, followed by the Valley Temple, an austere and megalithic complex used as a preparatory hall for pyramids, then a camel ride across the Giza plateau to gaze upon the pyramids in their complete splendor.  After a lunch overlooking the pyramids, we will visit the Pyramid of Menkaure, the one that attracts the least attention and thus the repository of perhaps the biggest secret of the entire complex.  Afterwards, visit a Perfume workshop and then return to the hotel.

A short bus ride to descend into the Pyramid of Unas, one of the greatest initiation chambers and home to the oldest texts outlining the process for accessing the Otherworld (and returning).  We will explore the underground Serapeum featuring two-dozen, 90-ton megalithic granite boxes of exquisite craftsmanship, once used to protect something special.  After lunch we will visit Saqqara, a vast, ancient ritual site named for the god of rebirth.  We will then walk the main complex and the majestic step pyramid of Djoser, with free time to ponder over the day's events.

Breakfast at Marriott Mena House, check-out, travel to Dahshur to see the elegant Bent Pyramid and it cunningly hidden geometry depicting human DNA and the motion of the Earth.  Adjacent, the Red Pyramid-named for its high iron content-has the second largest base of any pyramid in Egypt.  We will explore its interior passages.  After lunch, we will travel to Cairo Airport for our Aswan evening flight.  Arrive in Aswan and transfer to our 5 star Movenpick Aswan Hotel.  Check-in and overnight in Aswan.

Breakfast at Movenpick Aswan Hotel, check-out, then start our tour to the Island of Phaile and its Temples, where the cosmic marriage of Osiris and Isis was consummated with a festival every winter solstice.  Additional optional trip to experience a traditional felucca sail to a Nubian village to explore the Nubian community.  Transfer to your Nile Cruise, check-in to our cabins and have lunch.  Sail to Kom Ombo, visit Kom Ombo Temple and then sail to Edfu.

Breakfast on board.  Visit Efu Temple and then sail to Luxor.  Lunch, afternoon teatime, and dinner on board.  Enjoy a Galabia party this evening!

Breakfast on board.  Morning is for exploring the sprawling open air Temple of Karnak complex, the main religious center of ancient Egypt and the cult of Amun, with each pharaoh adding to or altering the complex over thousands of years.  It is a place for getting lost.  Back to the boat for lunch, then we take it easy with free time in Souk, where hard-to-find Bedouin jewelry can be found in hidden rooms.  We then gather early evening to visit the beautiful Luxor Temple, one of the few that are open in the early evening.  This unique temple encodes proportions derived from cosmic mathematics, hence why it looks and feels perfect.  Back to the cruise, dinner on board.

Breakfast on board, check-out from our cruise.  We will travel across the Nile where we will gain access to the anomalous chamber of Thutmosis III.  Then we will visit the Hatshepshut Temple complex, one of the more feminine sites, with its dedications to Hathor, where the art of sexual alchemy was once taught.  After a brief visit to the alabaster factory enjoy lunch in El Nakil Restaurant and then visit the Valley of the Kings.  Unlike real tombs surrounding it, Thutmosis III features a well and walls painted with the Book of the Hidden Chamber describing the process of the ascent of the initiate.  We'll go to Habu Temple, a well-preserved complex that is a bit off the tourist trail.  Later we will check-in to our luxury Al Moudira Hotel located in the West Bank of Luxor.  Overnight in the amazing West Bank among palm groves and exotic gardens.

Breakfast in our boutique luxury Al Moudira Hotel, check-out and travel by our luxury fully air-conditioned Mercedes bus to Abydos.  Arrive and check-in to our House of Life Hotel, lunch, then visit Abydos temple and enjoy a private visit to the Osirion.  Later, return back to our hotel, have dinner (on our own) and overnight in Abydos.

Breakfast and free morning-check out and travel with our private luxury fully air-conditioned Mercedes bus to visit Dendera Temple-the house of Hathor and site of healing.  After lunch we will continue by road to Luxor.  Check-in at Sofitel Old Winter Palace Hotel.  Free evening on our own-Overnight in 5 star Sonesta St. George Luxor Hotel.

Breakfast at the hotel before transferring to Luxor airport for our flight to Cairo.  Arrive and transfer to Marriot Mena House.  Have some free time and prepare for one of the greatest experiences in life: We finally reach the Great Pyramid, and with private access we descend along tunnels to the original chamber beneath the structure.  Then ascend, following the original path of countless initiates in antiquity, up the Grand Gallery and into the Kings Chamber, completing our ascension (literally and metaphorically) with a guided meditation.  Who knows what will pop out of those polished, megalithic red granite blocks.  We will conclude our profound experience and journey with a Farewell dinner at the Mena House Hotel.
