We recommend arriving in Buenos Aires on March 15 to allow time for rest and to accommodate any unexpected flight changes or delays. If you choose to arrive on March 16, a morning arrival is advised to ensure you do not miss the day's activities.
Welcome to Buenos Aires, Argentina's luminous capital where European elegance meets Latin rhythm. Upon arrival at Ezeiza International Airport, you'll be warmly greeted and transferred to the Anselmo Buenos Aires hotel, located in the heart of charismatic San Telmo. Its cobbled streets and shaded plazas offer the perfect haven to begin setting into the journey ahead.
In the afternoon we embark on a guided city tour that blends panoramic views with immersive stops. We visit the historic Plaza de Mayo, wander the storied lanes of San Telmo, and soak in the vibrant colors of La Boca, where art and immigrant history intertwine. We also pass the grand Teatro Colon, glide by Avenida 9 de Julio, and take in the elegant atmosphere of Recoleta and the modern waterfront of Puerto Madero.

With a full day at leisure, you're free to settle into the city's vibrant rhythm-stroll through your favorite neighborhoods, wander the markets of San Telmo, enjoy a cafe in Recoleta, or simply rest and recharge.
For those wishing to experience more of Argentina's cultural heritage, the following optional activities can be pre-booked:
Gaucho Day at Estancia Santa Susana (approximately USD $230 pp):
Located in the countryside near Los Cardales, Santa Susana Ranch spans over 1,200 hectares of traditional pampas landscape. The experience begins with a warm empanada and wine reception at the historic pulperia, followed by a guided visit to the ranch's museum and chapel.
A traditional asado lunch is served with wine, accompanied by folk music and dance. In the afternoon, enjoy a lively display of gaucho skills, including horseback demonstrations and classic rural games that celebrate the spirit of Argentina's legendary horsemen.
Tango Dinner-Show (approximately USD $220 pp):
Housed in a beautifully restored 1915 Belle Epoque theatre, the Astor Piazzolla offer an unforgettable evening of music and dance. The show features live musicians, exceptional tango dancers, and acclaimed vocalists performing classic works by iconic Argentine composers.
Your night includes a VIP three-course, welcome champagne, free beverages, and a 60-minute performance capturing the elegance, intensity, and artistry of Buenos Aires' most celebrated cultural tradition.

After breakfast we transfer to the airport for our flight to Ushuaia, "the End of the World," nestled between the steep Andes and the icy waters of the Beagle Channel. Upon arrival we set out into Tierra del Fuego National Park, a landscape where oceans, forests, and mountains converge in a tapestry of raw beauty.
Here we ride the historic "End of the World Train," once used by Ushuaia's old penal colony and now transformed into a scenic journey deep into pristine southern wilderness. Snow-dusted peaks, rivers, and lenga forests accompany us as we travel through this uniquely atmospheric corner of Patagonia.
Settle into the Arakur Resort & Spa, overlooking the Beagle Channel and surrounded by Ushuaia's dramatic mountain backdrop and the evening is yours to enjoy.
(Overnight in Ushuaia at Arakur Ushuaia Resort & Spa or similar)
Enjoy a relaxed morning in Ushuaia, perhaps strolling the harbor front or enjoying a local cafe. Around late morning a representative will meet us at the hotel for luggage collection and transfer to the Ocean Albatros check-in area, where we complete formalities and receive our assigned embarkation time.
In the afternoon we board the Ocean Albatros, our home for the next nine nights, and begin exploring its warm, modern spaces. After settling into our cabins, we gather on deck as the ship eases away from port and begins its passage through the Beagle Channel. With the snow-clad peaks of Tierra del Fuego rising on either side and seabirds circling overhead, we step across a threshold into the spirit of true exploration.
This evening, enjoy your first dinner onboard as we ease into the rhythm of life at sea.
About the Ocean Albatros
The Ocean Albatros is a modern, purpose-built polar expedition ship offering comfort, stability, and intimate access to the world's most remote regions. With an ice-strengthened hull, stabilizers, and a low passenger capacity, the ship provides excellent opportunities for landings and Zodiac outings.
Guest enjoy contemporary cabins, two restaurants, panoramic observation lounges, lecture spaces, and expansive decks ideal for wildlife viewing. The highly experienced Expedition Team and crew ensure both safety and a deeply enriching Antarctic experience.
(Overnight aboard the Ocean Albatros or similar) Our licensed massage therapists offer a variety of therapeutic massage techniques to help you relax and heal. We offer Swedish, deep tissue, hot stone, and more.
Today we enter the Drake Passage, the legendary stretch of ocean connecting South America to Antarctica. While long known for lively seas, we journey comfortably aboard our modern, ice-strengthened vessel with stabilizers and a seasoned polar crew.
Our time at sea is filled with enrichment-the Expedition Team begins a program of briefings and lectures covering wildlife, geology, glaciology, and the deep history of Antarctic exploration. We also take part in essential biosecurity preparations, ensuring that all gear is cleaned to protect this fragile environment.
From the outer decks, watch wandering albatrosses and petrels trace effortless arcs over the waves-our first signs that we are entering one of the planet's great wilderness regions.
(Overnight aboard the Ocean Albatros or similar)
As we continue southward, we cross the Antarctic Convergence-a natural boundary where cold southern waters meet warmer northern currents. Sea temperatures drop, and with them comes an explosion of marine life. Today may bring our first glimpses of icebergs, appearing as pale shapes on the horizon before revealing themselves as sculpted blue cathedrals of ice. We watch for whales, porpoising penguins, and seals as we sail deeper into the Southern Ocean.
Lectures and storytelling continue onboard, preparing us for the landscapes and wildlife soon to greet us. By late day, if conditions allow, the rugged silhouettes of the South Shetland Islands appear ahead, offering our first sight of Antarctic land!
(Overnight aboard the Ocean Albatros or similar)
We awaken to a world renewed-ice-capped peaks, dramatic ridges, and the stark beauty of Antarctic islands rising sharply from the sea. Today we make our first Zodiac excursions and landings in the South Shetland Islands.
We may walk among bustling penguin colonies, observe elephant and fur seals resting on the shore, and stand before landscapes shaped by snow, volcanic stone, and the ceaseless movement of wind and water.
Returning to the ship, we warm up with hot drinks and share reflections as we sail between islands, each moment drawing us deeper into the mystery of this extraordinary continent.
(Overnight aboard the Ocean Albatros or similar)
Today we continue along the Antarctic Peninsula, where fjords, channels, and glacier-lined bays reveal some of the most astonishing scenery on Earth. Our daily route remains flexible, allowing the Captain and Expedition Leader to follow the best condition for wildlife and landings.
Zodiac excursions carry us among towering ice formations, where leopard seals may rest on floes and penguins dart through clear waters. When possible, we land on the Peninsula itself, walking carefully among rocks and snow fields shaped by millennia of ice.
To stand here is to feel time slow and widen-a meeting of silence, space, and the purest natural presence.
(Overnight aboard the Ocean Albatros or similar)
Our days in Antarctica unfold with a rhythm of quiet wonder. We may cruise through iceberg-filled bays, visit historic sites of early exploration, or pass near a modern research station depending on conditions.
Wildlife is abundant: humpback whales feeding in krill-rich waters, minke whales surfacing unexpectedly, and seabirds wheeling against the snow-bright sky. The Expedition Team may offer photography sessions, natural history lectures, or informal gathering that deepen our connection to this remarkable environment.
Each experience becomes a thread in the story of the White Continent that we are now living firsthand.
(Overnight aboard the Ocean Albatros or similar)
Antarctica has its own quiet language, and by now we have begun to understand it: the subtle shift of light across the ice, the distant echo of calving glaciers, the determined movements of penguins walking to and from the sea.
Today may bring Zodiac cruises beside glowing blue icebergs, time among penguin rookeries, or the chance to observe seals resting peacefully on floes. Each landing and excursion is shaped by weather, ice, and wildlife, and this spontaneity is part of Antarctica's unique magic.
In the evening we sail through serene channels, surrounded by a vastness that invites reflection and awe.
(Overnight aboard the Ocean Albatros or similar)
Our final full day in Antarctic waters invites us to savor every moment. Depending on conditions, we may revisit a favorite landing site or explore a new bay framed by soaring peaks and luminous ice.
This is a day to gather impressions: the resonance of penguin calls, the shapes of drifting ice, the sudden rise of a whale's breath against the horizon. In the evening we may share a farewell gathering onboard, celebrating the experiences that have woven us together on this journey.
By nightfall we begin turning northward, carrying Antarctica's stillness with us.
(Overnight aboard the Ocean Albatros or similar)
We re-enter the Drake Passage, this time as travelers who have truly come to know the far South. The crossing offers time to absorb the magnitude of what we have witnessed and to participate in concluding lectures and informal sharing circles.
There is space to rest, reflect, and enjoy the rhythms of the sea, perhaps stepping onto the deck to watch seabirds trace wide arcs overhead as we continue our return north.
(Overnight aboard the Ocean Albatros or similar)

This morning we glide back to Ushuaia, where the green hillsides and bright home of the world's southernmost city welcome us once again. After breakfast we disembark and bid farewell to the Expedition Team before transferring to the airport for our return flight to Buenos Aires. A light lunch is served on the flight.
Upon arrival we return to the Anselmo Buenos Aires in San Telmo for a restful evening to decompress after our time at sea.
(Overnight in Buenos Aires at Anselmo Buenos Aires, Curio Collection by Hilton or similar)
After breakfast we transfer to Ezeiza International Airport for our homebound flights. Farewells are exchanged with fellow travelers who shared this remarkable voyage.
As you depart, you carry with you a new internal landscape shaped by the White Continent: the serenity of its glaciers, the poetry of its wildlife, the vast silence of its horizon. These impressions remain long after the ice has disappeared from view.
