Welcome to Peru! We will be taking this first day to relax, enjoy, and adjust to the altitude. It is advised to arrive 1-2 days early to adjust to the altitude. This can be considered one of those days.
We will be spending the night at Taypikala Cusco
We begin our adventure by visiting the most sacred sites in Cusco which is the navel center of energy from which all energy lines emanate into the Andean Sacred Sites. In the morning we will be visiting Cusco City, Illapata, Temple of the Heart, Sacsayhuaman, and Qenko. In the afternoon we will make a pilgrimage to Tipon, the Temple of Water.
We will be spending the night at Taypikala Cusco
The Salkantay trek starts today. We leave Cusco at 5:45 AM. After passing the town of Mollepata (3000m/9843f), we head for Cruz Pata (3400m/11155f), where we will meet the rest of our trekking team. We will then begin hiking into the magnificent valley surrounded by impressive snow-capped mountains, such as Humantay (5217m/17116f) and the Salkantay (6264/20551f). Our campsite will be at Salkantay Pampa (3900m/12795f)

-Climate: Moderate and cold during the night
Optional: on the way to Soray Pampa, we recommend making a 2-hour detour to see Humantay Lake and the snow-covered peak of Humantay. You will have to ascend from Soray Pampa (3900m/12800f) to Humantay (4220m/12800f).
Overnight: camping
Note: from Day 3-5 (from Cruz Pata to Wayllambamba), we are accompanied by horsemen and mules to carry all camping equipment and one piece of personal luggage of up to 7 kg/15 pounds per person. From Day 6-8 (Wayllabamba to Aguas Calientes), all equipment including the participants personal luggage will be carried by porters.
After breakfast, we continue our journey around mid-morning and head for the highest pass in the park of Machu Picchu: the Salkantay Pass (5200m/17060f). From there we have an exceptional view of the snow-capped Salkantay (6264m/20551f). Afterwards, we will descend to the next campsite, Sisay Pampa (3700m/12139f).

At dawn, our trek leads us to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. We will pass little creeks and visit several small archeological sites. Our trek today ends at Wayllabamba (3000m/9843f), both our camping site and the starting point for the Classic Inca Trail the next morning.

To maximize your enjoyment of the beautiful panorama and mystical atmosphere, our day starts early in the morning. Our trek takes us to the valleys of Yuncachimpa (3300m/10827f) and Lulluchapampa (3850m/12631f) and finally to Warmiwanusca pass (4200m/13780f), which offers an impressive view of the snow-capped Veronica mountain.
After a short break at the summit, we will continue hiking down to our campsite Pacaymayu (3500m/11483f).

We begin hiking after a delicious breakfast, and the anticipation of enjoying the most beautiful day of the trek. First, we will arrive at the archeological site of Runkurakay (3050m/10000f). Perched on a rocky outcrop, this site was supposed to be a "tambo," a place for storing food and for messengers to rest
We ascend to a pass at an altitude of 3950m/12960f, before descending to the ruins of Sayacmarca (3600m/11810f), a small city composed of a maze of narrow streets, houses, terraces, and fountains. The path continues as we go by an Inca tunnel and then walk through a forest, before reaching the last pass, at an altitude of 3700m/12140f.
Below, we will see the ruin Phuyupatamarca, "City Above the Clouds," which includes an Inca relay station, impressive circular walls and an ingenious system of aqueducts that still supplies the baths with water.
We will enjoy a superb view of snow-capped peaks and the Urubamba Valley. Your descent to the other side is under a thick canopy of bamboo. Also, we will see the extraordinary ruins of Winay Wayna (2650m/8694f) on a rocky vast array of Inca terraces, the urban complex is separated in two by a grand staircase leading to a ceremonial area. This is our campsite for the night.

After our breakfast around 5:00 AM, we will head-equipped with our flashlights-to the Sun Gate (Inti Punku) to watch the sunrise over Machu Picchu and Wayna Picchu. Around 8:00 AM, we will visit the citadel of Machu Picchu (2400m/7874f) and enjoy its spiritual charm during a guided tour of about two hours. Afterwards, you will have time to explore the archeological site on your own.
4:12 PM: Train to Ollantaytambo, and then by bus to Cusco

Overnight: Cusco
Note: For those that want to climb Wayna Picchu, this requires booking months in advance and an additional charge of US $75 to guarantee your entrance (per a new Peruvian law as of February 18/18). This is an additional tour cost and we will need to know well in advance.
We leave Cusco at 7:00 AM towards the Sacred Lake Titicaca, birthplace of the Children of the Sun (9-10 hour bus ride approximately including stops). Along the way we will visit the temple of Wirachocha (Logos Creator). Wiracocha's Temple is located at the same distance of Machu Picchu but in the opposite direction. We will do an important creator ceremony here.
Alternatively, we may also visit Tinajani and its stone formations. This is a Pakarina (place of origins) or womb of the Mother Earth. It is a telluric place. Afterwards, following this energetic line we pass by the pre-Inca city of Pucara.
We will then arrive at the hotel which is locate in front of the shores of Lake Titicaca.
Overnight:Taypikala Lago Hotel
At 8:00 AM, we will leave towards the harbor of Puno. We will enjoy an excursion by boat to the Uros Floating Islands. There we will have a dreaming ceremony on reed boats.
In the afternoon, we will visit Sillustani, a place of powerful telluric earth energies and secrets of rebirth. Note the ancient pre-Incan burial chambers that make this area a power spot.
Here we will do the Ceremony of the Solar Disk Imposition, to remember that to be the Children of the Sun, is to be clear, transparent, bright, warm, resplendent, shining, and luminous.
Overnight:Taypikala Lago Hotel
We will leave the hotel at 8:00 AM and enjoy the bus ride to Inka Camana, pre-Inka megalithic structures oriented towards the sunrise. Solar practices and connection with Apu Kapia and the great snake (Asiru Patiata) of the volcano.
On the way back, we will visit Aramu Muru doorway in the Ajayu Marka. We will walk the ceremonial path. We will do solar practices to activate our inner sun in connection with the Father Sun. We will activate our cells from our inner sun since our cells are small suns and we can experience our body of light.
Before returning to the hotel, we will visit the crop circles. Every circular structure is related to the Muyoc, which is one of the aspects of the divinity. We will meditate there on the Law of the Circle (eternal).
Afterwards, we will return to the hotel for our farewell dinner.
Overnight:Taypikala Lago Hotel
Today is a morning at your leisure. Later, we will be transferred to the Juliaca airport in time for your flight to Lima. Connect with your onward flight home as you reminisce about your inward and outward journey through the Peruvian Highlands and prepare for a new life at home.

Important: the combination of the Salkantay trek and the classic Inca trail is important to book months in advance. This is due to the legal limit of 500 people permitted per day to start the Inca Trail, including trekkers, guides, cooks, and porters.
