Free time in Reykjavik
Dinner: On own (in Reykjavik)
Overnight: Reykjavik,Hotel Klettur
Today we do the day tour of the Golden Circle where we will visit Gullfoss, Geysir, and Thingvellir with our guide (departure is at 9 AM and return is at 6 PM). On the way we will stop for lunch.
Thingvellir is where the first parliamentary rule was set up in 930 AD. It is a sacred place in a rift valley so there is bountiful energy there. We will meditate utilizing the Pillar of Light to connect with the land and the amazing energy at this location. Understanding the setup of the Parliamentary is also important as it connects to the Earth itself.
Next we will visit the Golden Waterfall-Gullfoss-which is a beautiful waterfall. This particular waterfall was saved by a woman hundreds of years ago who lived on a farm close by. She walked all the way to Reykjavik to speak to the parliamentarians to get them to change their minds. This is a strong power place for feminine energy.
Finally, we will visit Geysir. This is a geothermal area where the hot springs erupt every few minutes. This is a strong reminder of the power that is underneath the surface of the earth and how we are supported by that power all the time.
Dinner: Welcome dinner in Reykjavik
Overnight: Reykjavik,Hotel Klettur
Today we drive from Reykjavik to Snaefellsness, the most spiritual area in Iceland, with stops on the way. Depending on the weather and walking conditions, we may also visit a beach where seals can be seen in their natural habitat as well as drink water from a river that comes straight out of a hillside. This water has magical properties because it has so much oxygen in it.
We will visit many other places of interest this day and the next which will include doing ceremonies both indoors and outdoors.
Snaefellsjokull (the Glacier) is considered by many to be the Heart Center of the Earth-which moved there at the Harmonic Convergence in 1987. From 1988 and during the next 14 years to follow, spiritual and personal growth 3 day events were held there annually.
Dinner: in hotel (all 3 nights in Snaefellsness)
Overnight: Hotel Arnarstapi
We will be spending 2 full days to fully explore Snaefellsness and visit the glacier Snaefellsjokull. During the visits to these areas we will walk the land and do ceremonies, meditations, and transmission to connect with the spirit and energy of the place.
We will also visit Djupalon Beach-or Black Pebble Beach-Londrangar. Here there are old crater plugs where there is an interdimensional opening. At this place we can work with the feminine and masculine heart to assist humanity in this opening.
Dinner: in hotel
Overnight: Hotel Arnarstapi
Today we will drive via Stykkisholmur to Akureyri because right by Stykkisholmur is Helgafell-a 70m (210 ft) high hill were Vision Quests were done by the Vikings and then later it was used for prayer ceremonies by Catholics monks in a monastery that was built there after the population in Iceland converted to Christianity.
The historical Mt. Helgafell-the Sacred Hill-on the Snaefellsnes peninsula is in the eyes of many Icelanders a sacred place. It is believed that if you hike to the top of the mountain without looking back or uttering a word you will get 3 wishes fulfilled.
This only works the first time you hike the mountain though, so most Icelanders have already done this hike and received their wishes. Mt. Helgafell is 73 meters tall and it takes about 10 minutes to hike to the top. From there you will be rewarded with a great view of the Breiðafjörður Bay and the surrounding areas.
It takes an hour and 20 minutes to drive to Stykkisholmur. We can spend 45 minutes on Helgafell. There is an admission fee of 400 ISK per person. And then we will drive to Borgarnes which will take about 50 minutes. From Borgarnes we will go to Akureyri and arrive there around 6 PM.
Dinner: On our own in Akureyri
Overnight: Hotel KEA Akureyri
Healing to Myvatn, we stop en route at the Godafoss waterfall, the waterfall of the pagan gods. Then to Myvatn area where we spend the day exploring the wonders around the lake, which is one of Iceland's most interesting regions with fantastic volcanic formations, geothermal activity and the lake itself, teeming with bird life, particularly ducks. One of the main attractions is the Námaskarð geothermal area where you will find bubbling mud pools and hissing steam vents.
We will make a final stop around 4 PM at the Myvatn Geothermal Baths to relax in the warm, milky waters in a basin overlooking Lake Myvatn and its region before goig to the hotel for dinner.
Dinner: in hotel
Overnight: Myvatn, Hotel Sel Myvatn
We will start the day by driving up to Husavik where we will go on a Whale Watching tour (at 9:30 AM). We will then drive around the attractive stretch of the coastline of Tjörnes Peninsula until we arrive at Ásbyrgi, a horse-shoe-shaped gorge reputed to be the hoof print of Odin's eight-legged horse Sleipnir.
We will then take a short walk in the canyon before heading to our next stop: the mighty Dettifoss, Iceland's and Europe's most powerful waterfall which thunders 44 meters into a deep gorge. The rest of the day is dedicated to explore more marvels of Lake Myvatn Nature Reserve. We will visit the Krafla area with the crater Viti and if time allows, we will also take a walk through the Dimmuborgir Lave Labyrinth.
Dinner: in hotel
Overnight: Myvatn, Hotel Sel Myvatn
Today we will leave Myvatn and drive to Blönduós. One the way we will visit Glaumbaer at 11 AM. Glaumbaer is a charming traditional turf farm with its roof covered with a beautiful soft grass. This visit will allow us to better understand the rough life of the Icelandic countryside just a century ago.
Blönduós is the most populated town by Húnaflói and is located by Road NR. 1. Through the town runs one of the country's glacial rivers, Blanda, and in the middle is the small island Hrútey, one of the area's natural wonders. The island is protected and closed due to bird nesting in the springtime, but for the rest of the year, you can cross a walking bridge to the island. There you can discover amazing hiking trails. The walk along Blanda down to the shore is particularly romantic, overlooking the sea to the beautiful Strandafjöll.
In Blönduós, we will do a session with a Shaman before continuing to our hotel for the night.
Dinner: in hotel
Overnight: Hotel Laugarbakki
This is the last day of the round trip visit. Today we had back to Reykjavik. On the way we will also make a stop at the Pingeyri Church and if time allows Hvanneyri.
From the northwest region, Pingeyrar was always one of the most important places in the region. It is a place of immense historical importance. So when you visit Pingeyrar, you are getting in touch with Icelandic history from the times of the settlement. And when you are standing on the small hill, you will have a good idea why Pingeyrar was important.
Hvanneyri is a small agriculture and church center in the West of Iceland. The settlement, known for its history of farming, is surrounded by luscious green meadows and walkable hills.
We will then continue to Reykjavik to check into the hotel and have our goodbye dinner in town.
